Ra One vs Bodyguard

Shah Rukh Khan's RA.One released on Wednesday 26th October, amidst festive frenzy. And break all the box office records but the opening figures of the film didn't match up to the numbers of his arch-rival Salman Khan's Eid release, Bodyguard.

Day 1: Bodyguard released during EID and Ra One for Diwali, both holidays but the SRK starrer was affected by Diwali celebrations as collections witnessed a sharp dip for the afternoon and evening shows. Bodyguard of course, released on less number of prints went on to do 21 crores of business on Day 1 in India. Ready was a non-festive release and still did well. Winner – Bodyguard
Day 2: Belongs to SRK’s Ra One. The film had a historic Thursday amassing collections in excess of 24 crores – the biggest single day collections in the history of the Hindi film industry. Comparatively, Bodyguard did pretty well too. Ready was much lower. Winner – Ra One
Day 3: While collections of dubbed regional language versions plunged, Ra One in Hindi (especially the 3D version) was rock solid considering that it was a working day in most parts of the country. Bodyguard too was steady, witnessing approximately the same percentage of drop on the third day of its release. Ready picked up considerably as it was a Sunday. Winner – Ra One

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be among the star celebrities to attend international pop icon Lady Gaga's show at the F1 after-party in Greater Noida Sunday night.

"Everyone seems to be happy with 'RA.One' in Los Angeles...I feel so touched and happy. now off to Delhi for Formula1

and Lady Gaga show!!" Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page Saturday.

Gaga, who landed here on Thursday night, is upbeat about her special performance which, according to her, will have an "Indian influence".

The after-party is being organised by actor Arjun Rampal and restaurateur AD Singh's high-end lounge and bar Lap. It will be held at a special 20,000 sq ft construction at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida.

Shah Rukh must be looking forward to the event, especially because he was keen on collaborating with the Poker Face singer for a song for his latest release RA.One. Though things didn't work out in his favour, he will get to catch up with Gaga on her life and career in an exclusive tete-a-tete for a chat show on UTV Bindass.
